Nvidia Stock News: Chipmaker Funds Meta, Then Wins Bigger AI Hardware Deal

Nvidia will put $3 billion into Meta’s upcoming stock offering, the Wall Street Journal reported, in a deal that ties the chipmaker more closely to one of its largest customers. As part of the same agreement, Meta will expand its use of Nvidia hardware to power the next generation of agents behind its Muse AI product, including Vera Rubin systems and Vera CPUs. Meta is looking to raise as much as $95 billion through share sales to fund its AI infrastructure spending, including the non-voting shares it introduced last week. AMD and Broadcom have also expressed nonbinding interest in buying up to $5 billion of Meta stock between them, according to CNBC. The investment adds to concerns over circular financing, where Nvidia funds customers who then spend the money on its chips.
